Graham & Sue Hutchison would like to welcome you to Clifton House, their Bed & Breakfast in Windermere, and your home away from home in the heart of the English Lake District. You can be assured of a warm & friendly welcome, with clean, fresh rooms and an excellent breakfast

Clifton House is a traditional Lakeland stone, Victorian terraced house which is situated in a quiet location just a couple of minutes walk from Windermere village, where you will find a variety of cafes, pubs & restaurants serving an excellent choice of food.

We are a completely non-smoking guest house. Children over 6 years are welcome. We have secure, covered, off-street facilities for motorcycles & mountain bikes. If you are driving here there is plenty of on-street parking available. For those arriving on the train or the bus we are just a 10 minute walk from the station.

There is comfortable Lounge which is always available for our guests.  There you will find a wealth of books, brochures and maps to help you plan your time in the area.
